Stated another way, there are laws in place that give YOU, the consumer, the right to be safe from unsafe products and fraudulent, deceptive, or abusive businesses who want to take advantage of you.
Some consumer laws that you may have heard of include the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), the Consumer Protection Act, the Magnuson-Moss Act, Equal Credit Opportunity Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).
